I praise God that He has opened the door for us to begin meeting again as the church of the living God.
“These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no-one can shut, and what he shuts no-one can open.” (Revelation 3:7)
The door is now open and I am really looking foward to meeting all my people again, to gather and celebrate our God in the City of God. Great times ahead!
Sure, my wife and our group of able administrators have been working extra hard to translate the guidelines into reality on the ground! Yes, we’ve got the temperature guns, the Veronica Buckets, the masks, the disinfectants etc – and a newly-expanded auditorium giving us much more space (perfect for spacing out our people).
This is a new day, and a new way of doing things begins! The ‘freedoms’ given seem small (one hour meetings etc) but I have always known the wonder and miracles of using what we have in our hands. When we start with what we have, without despising it, God will always multiply it to us. It has happened for us with souls, lands, buildings, jobs and businesses. It will happen again this time – with time. God will multiply the time which He has graciously given us, if we steward what we have been given now well.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” (Psalms 46:1-7)
